Strawbale and Cob Studio
When we decided to move to the country, we embarked on a journey to help build my art studio, a combination of strawbale, cob, and tamped straw on an earthbag foundation. It was quite an experience, and was joyful as well as challenging. Many hands worked together to create this building, spearheaded by Jessica Turner and Phil Hawn, and built by a whole crew of devoted builders, as we all learned alongside one another. I will forever be grateful for this intentionally and intensively built sacred space in which to make art and learn with my children.
