Propagate emerged from a macro photograph, printed onto kozo paper, colored pencil applied, and layered repeatedly with fused wax.  The entire surface was hand-carved with relief detail before being cut into shapes, each sculpted, and built into a cohesive pod, where wires were embedded.  Powdered pigment was applied to the vessel before cradling into the wood. This pod appears as if discovered on the forest floor, full of beauty in its present state, with potential for new life yet to come.
