As we move through cycles in our lives, we pass through many stages in which we must let go. Sometimes that can bring joy, as new experiences and growth come with the release, and sometimes, loss, which we can not predict. All is part of our time on this Earth, and there is beauty and strength in the entirety of experience.

These sculptural wings took flight from macro photography that was printed onto textile and layered repeatedly with wax fused between each layer, hand-carved edge to edge with organic relief work, cut and sculpted to shape and colored with powdered pigment and wired onto branches, where they rest in unison. Although wired as a wall piece, it may be a table piece, as well.
