Anyone need the warmth and vibrance from the other side of the spectrum?  Created to bring a pop of color onto these sunshine-filled wings, I experienced a welcome sense of play and as I sat and adorned with these markings from my mind.  May we all find simple ways to bring abandonment of expectation into our daily lives that are so often filled with clearly defined parameters.  Sending the lively joy of these orange-speckled wings to each of you!

The evocative wings are created from beeswax-layered photography, details carved into the thickly-clouded wax surface to bring the wing back to life before being sculpted into expressive new form and colored with powdered pigment.  They are inspired by the process of metamorphosis— a process which repeats itself many times over the course of our lives, offering endless opportunities for change. The Metamorphosis Series celebrates the life force present in each of us as we challenge ourselves to become more fully alive, a prominent theme in this unprecedented time of change.
