This watercolor depiction of spring blossoms ignited hope when I photographed them one foggy misty morning in spring. The tender blossoms, newly unfurled from their tight buds, inspired me to soak up the essence of their fresh energy as they became embodied forms on the page. The Schmincke Horadam watercolors used to paint this image are of the highest quality pigments and were painted onto Arches Aquarelle cold press paper (300 gsm) and matted with archival mat board— the lovely combination of which provides the highest archival qualities available. It has been professionally matted and framed with an elegant and simple black steel frame.
