This swallowtail wing was found in the garden, photographed and printed onto paper, layered with numerous coatings of wax and then fused, carved edge to edge for organic surface relief, colored with many layers of powdered pigment, before it was adhered to a wooden tile that is ready to hang in your space, connecting to the beauty of details found in nature and our ability to further abstract that which we see.
